Tom Zetts, a senior Mathematics Education major, was awarded the Youngstown State Male Athlete of the Year Award by The Vindicator. (The Vindicator article, May 2, 2008)

Tyler Drombosky, a junior Mathematics Major, was recently named a 2008 Goldwater Scholar by the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education
Foundation. This is a prestigious award for students studying science, mathematics, and engineering. (See eUpdate article, May 2008)

Junior PME member, Jessica Shipman, will be part of YSU’s new and prestigious affiliation with the National Science Foundation’s Center for Layered Polymeric Systems, known as CLiPS. (See YSU news page 2008-03-05)
