The Oversight Board of the Center for Undergraduate Research in Mathematics (CURMath) at Youngstown State University is comprised of the following charter members:

Jim Banoczi (term 2007-10): Alumnus of the YSU mathematics department ('91), MS ('93) and PhD ('97) in applied mathematics from North Carolina State University. Jim is currently working for the National Security Agency evaluating computer and network cryptographic components used in the protection of DoD and Federal information systems.

Doug Faires (Chairperson, term 2007-12): Alumnus of the YSU mathematics department, MS and PhD in Mathematics from University of South Carolina. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree by YSU in May 2006. Doug is Professor Emeritus at YSU and remains involved with undergraduate research.

Heather DeSimone Sasinowska (term 2007-11): Alumnus of the YSU mathematics department, MS in Operations Research at William and Mary, PhD in Statistics at Duke. Former faculty member at Clemson, currently Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of INCOGEN, Inc. in Williamsburg VA.

Phil Schmidt (term 2007-11): Academic mathematics faculty member and administrator at Northern Kentucky University; currently Director of the Center for Integrative Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Previously mathematics department chair at the University of Akron and Interim Dean at Northern Kentucky University.

Ed Wajda (term 2007-10): Alumnus of the YSU mathematics department with a son currently majoring in mathematics at YSU. Ed is a prominent and innovative mathematics teacher at Lakeview High School.

Ray Yozwiak (term 2007-12): Alumnus of the YSU mathematics department, MS in mathematics and dental degree graduate of University of Kentucky, orthodontist graduate from St. Louis University. Ray is an orthodontist and real estate investor in Lexington, Kentucky.
